A two night long trip.This highly anticipated event gives seniors the opportunity to relax and enjoy time together outside of the classroom while celebrating their final year of high school. Martin Van Buren High School held its Annual Recognition Night on December 18, 2025, in the school auditorium to celebrate student achievement. Students who were nominated by their teachers received invitations to attend the ceremony. Last year, Martin Van Buren students gathered in the library for the school’s common point annual Friendsgiving celebration. The event was open to all grade levels, and tons of students showed up with different dishes to share. On Thursday, November 13th, Martin Van Buren hosted its annual STEM Night, welcoming students, friends, and families into the school auditorium for an evening of learning and fun. The Glow Party is a school and community celebration hosted at Martin Van Buren High School that transforms the small gym into a neon, black light filled space where everything, from decorations to face paint, glows in the dark. During the months of October to November in 2025, Martin Van Buren is hosting a food drive to support those affected by the hurricane, Mellisa, in Jamaica. Students and staff work together to donate non-perishable foods for those in Jamaica that faced the impact of the hurricane. People who donate bring their foods to Ms. Ramoo in room 135-E.
