Martin Van Buren High School in Queens held its annual Open House on October 25, November 12 and November 22. Families and students from across the community were welcomed to the campus to learn more about the school. During the event, guests were introduced to the school’s programs and the wide range of activities available to students.
Families had the opportunity to meet the principal, get introduced to teachers, ask questions, and get a better sense of classes their children may take. Teachers also presented the different departments, giving visitors a clear look at what each subject area offers. Guests learned about humanities, robotics, science, JROTC, and the media program. Each presentation helped families understand how MVB supports student growth and creates opportunities for different interests.
The Open House gave future students and their families a closer look into the MVB community. Many students who attended were able to explore a school they may choose to spend their high school years in. Overall, the event helped families feel more familiar with the campus and highlighted the supportive environment MVB is known for.
