MVB Hosts Annual College Fair with Over 150 Colleges in Attendance

On March 30th, 2026, Martin Van Buren High School held its annual College Fair in the cafeteria after school, bringing together students, families, and members of the wider school community, including B-Tech students, for an in-depth look at post-secondary opportunities. The event, organized by Ms. Stamberg, featured over 150 colleges and universities and welcomed more than 500 attendees throughout the afternoon.

The cafeteria was transformed into a large exhibition space, with tables set up for each participating college and university. Admissions representatives and school staff members were present to speak with students about academic programs, campus life, extracurricular activities, and admissions requirements. The event created a welcoming and informative environment where students could actively explore their future options.

Throughout the fair, students moved from table to table asking questions about GPA expectations, scholarships, application requirements, and what makes a competitive college application. Many students collected brochures, business cards, and informational materials to review later with their families or guidance counselors. Counselors were also present to help students connect their interests and academic goals to potential college pathways.

The event provided students with direct access to a wide range of institutions, giving them a clearer understanding of the variety of opportunities available after high school. With such a large number of colleges in attendance, students were able to explore options they may not have previously considered.
