On February 7, 2026, the freshman class at Martin Van Buren High School was rewarded with a trip to United Skates of America in Seaford, NY after earning the highest attendance rate in the school. The class achieved recognition by constantly showing up and demonstrating responsibility. As a result of their effort and commitment, administrators organized the skating trip as a celebration of their accomplishment. The event served as both a reward and encouragement for maintaining strong attendance.
Students spent the afternoon roller skating together, laughing, cheering each other on, and enjoying the excitement of the rink. Breaks included pizza and snacks, giving everyone a chance to recharge before hitting the floor again. Friends encouraged one another, and the energy was high as the class celebrated their accomplishment in a fun and lively setting.
The trip showed that dedication and consistency pay off, and that when a group works together, great things can happen. By attending school regularly and supporting one another, the freshman class created an experience they could all enjoy. Overall, it was a memorable day full of laughter, skating, and fun, which proved that hard work can lead to a celebration everyone can share.
