On Thursday, November 13th, Martin Van Buren hosted its annual STEM Night, welcoming students, friends, and families into the school auditorium for an evening of learning and fun. The event began at 5:30 p.m. and ended at 7:00 p.m. The night opened with a special program where Miss T produced a humorous skit about STEM, featuring a playful storyline in which STEM and dance “got married,” setting a lighthearted tone for the event.
After the performance, the celebration continued with a short dance that brought everyone to have a start of what was a fun night. Families were then invited to explore different classrooms, each set up with hands-on stations focused on the four pillars of STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. These stations encouraged students to experiment, participate, and learn in a fun and engaging way.
The evening also included food, contributing to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Many students attended not only for the experience but also to earn credit for participating. Overall, the November 13 STEM Night was a lively and successful event that brought the school community together while highlighting the importance of creativity, learning, and exploration.
