Throughout December 17th to the 23rd, Martin Van Buren’s Multimedia Journalism class introduced a project in which students were able to unleash their creativity and artistic choices. Students were required to create a promotional poster using the skills they accumulated taught by Ms. Choriatis. Students were independently capturing photos using the correct balance of camera exposure, focus, and intent.

Subsequently, these photos were imported into Canva to begin the rough draft process. Students successfully edited the photos to their liking, added fun graphics and typography that gave each groups’ posters life. It’s evident that students put in a lot of effort and attention to detail in their posters, ensuring it was enough to capture the audience with striking words, backgrounds, and visuals.

After the posters were finalized to its perfection, everyone’s proud work was posted up in room 149, also known as the Media room. With this project, students were able to showcase their creative talent and enhance the school environment with everyone’s efforts. Overall, the posters promote school spirit, events, sports, clubs, and student achievements.
