With examinations coming up, last-minute study sessions, and a huge heap of work, it’s easy to lose yourself in the chaos and drift away from things that matter most. Managing the time for selfcare isn’t easy, but it definitely is possible. While studying, it’s important to keep these tips in mind.
Stop procrastinating.
While this feels harder than it seems, it’s time to suck it up because it’ll definitely save you in the long run. Procrastination breeds unaccountability and adds more stress. Say goodbye to excuses like, “I didn’t get enough sleep because I was up studying all night!” Instead, it’s better to break up a surmountable task into smaller portions. In short, don’t cram all of the units in one day, study them across the week! One unit could be for Monday, another could be for Wednesday, and so forth. Don’t forget it’s also crucial to take small breaks when studying, whether it be eating, showering, scrolling through social media, or more.
Don’t skip meals!
If cafeteria food is “nasty”, you can make your own breakfast or lunch at home, or you can buy a meal from nearby stores before school starts. Treat this as top priority, because it literally is a human necessity for energy. In Minecraft terms, fill up your hunger bar before entering the Nether, or you’ll easily become fatigued. Before you start worrying about nutrition, worry about getting something inside your stomach first. Also, be sure to drink water across the day! Being dehydrated can lead to headaches and dizziness. Remember, anything is better than nothing!
