The Martin Van Buren High School Girls Junior Varsity volleyball team recently wrapped up their season, showing great teamwork, dedication, and athletic skill. The team, composed of talented underclassmen, demonstrated consistent improvement and fierce determination throughout their matches. Under the guidance of their coaches, the team not only honed their technical skills in serving, setting, and spiking but also a strong, supportive bond among players that was evident in every game they played on the court and came together after every play.
They didn't win a lot of games but put in an effort , which saw great attendance and loud support from the MVB school community. A particular highlight was their thrilling victory during the first home game, a match that exemplified their "never give up" attitude. The players effectively communicated, using their strategies during play, and consistently encouraged one another, embodying true sportsmanship and teamwork.
Looking ahead, the future of MVB volleyball will be seeing some new girls on the next year's team and hope to see an even greater team come ahead as the old JV players prepare to advance to the varsity level in the coming year. Many of the girls plan to participate in off season and local leagues to further and improve in their abilities. The coach has promising more exciting seasons to come for the Martin Van Buren community.
